About JJ Guy

Jack Russell mix
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

JJ Guy is a 10 year old male Jack Russell/Terrier mix, He weighs about 12 pounds. Meet JJ Guy, or JJ for short. Despite his age, he runs and plays with the 4 year old high energy dog in his foster home. From his his point of view, he would prefer to be in a family where he can sleep on the bed with his people at night after lots of walks and playtime. JJ believes it is his mission in life to protect his people and home. Because he is very vocal about it, JJ needs to live in a house rather than an apartment. While he will be initially hostile to 'interlopers' his mistrust is completely turned around by a food offering. Because of this, JJ needs a home without children. The best part is that this smart little guy will remember each new friend on future visits! Due to his strong prey drive, JJ needs to live in a household without any pets other than dogs. However, in his foster home he enjoys his younger dog companions and the chase games they play out in the yard. JJ uses the dog door and has a perfect potty training score in his foster home. It is evident that he has not had any obedience training and would benefit from training and an owner who is willing and able to be firm with him about manners. Fortunately, JJ is very eager to please, smart, and food motivated; so he is great to work with in training. Adoption contract and fee applies.
