About Buddy

Buddy and Elly (aka Little Dog) are looking for a new home. Their beloved owner passed away, and they are sad and confused about being in a new place. These dogs are currently in foster care in Iola, Wisconsin. Buddy is a super sweet, older yellow Lab, he's 10 years old, neutered and they are both up to date on vaccinations. Elly is 8 years old, and she's a spayed female black and tan Lab mix, who loves to go for walks and watch for squirrels in the woods. She's still active for an older girl, and they both absolutely love to go on walks, then come home, have a nap, and get petted and have lots of belly rubs. They both weigh about 90 pounds, and have had recent senior blood tests run at the Vet clinic that showed they are in good health for their age. An adopter should be financially capable to provide good veterinary care, food, etc, as they grow older. These two are very bonded and have been best friends their whole lives. They would like a quiet, loving indoor home together where they can live out their years, nap on the couch or comfy dog beds, and get lots of love and attention. They will need a home with no cats or other small animals. Both of them are getting along well with my other dogs, but they don't like young crazy dogs who try to jump on them, or little yappy ones. These two mellow dogs would love have a family or person who doesn't have to leave them for long hours every day. Perhaps a retired person or couple? A home without really young children would be best, as they are big dogs and could knock little ones down without meaning to. They get along really well with older kids. A fenced yard would be a definite plus, they are getting better at walking on leashes, but Elly does pull a bit hard., although she's learning quickly. They are house broken, and use a dog door and are very good at going out when they need to. Anyone who loves sweet old Lab mixes should meet these two! Buddy and Elly just want to be petted and loved. They are very mellow house dogs, although it might take a week or two for them to adjust to a new place.
