Fergie was caught in someone's chicken coupe about 6 weeks ago. She was so skinny you could feel every bone in her body, which was most likely due to the severe internal parasite infection she was battling. However, she is doing so much better now! Fergie is very timid and it takes a few days for her to warm up to new people. She would do best in a quiet home with no small children. However, once she warms up to you, all she wants to do is cuddle in your lap! She is the true definition of a lap dog! She also has a very sassy attitude that only comes out once she is comfortable ��%BD��%BD��%BDS Weight: 6 pounds Health: Up to date on shots. Microchipped. Heartworm Negative. Dewormed. Up to date on Heartworm/flea prevention. Spayed Health issues: She does have a very prominent over bite. This shouldn't cause any major issues, but should be monitored. She does have a heart murmur. This is very common in small dogs, and is usually not a major issue. Currently the Vet does not think she needs to be on medication. She needs a check up again in 3 months, and another one in 6 months. If the heart murmur stays the same, then medication is not necessary. If it starts to get worse, she would need to start medication to help the issue. (If you have any questions about this and the cost of medication I would be more than happy to answer your questions! I have a chihuahua that has had a heart murmur his entire life and he is currently 16 years old!) Behavior: Extremely timid until she warms up to you Needs someone willing to work to gain her trust Not good with small children Good with cats Good with other low-energy dogs (High-Energy dogs would freak her out) Crate trained Still working on potty training Calm, quiet, low energy LOVES to cuddle! She loves to get cozy under the blankets! Sassy attitude! :) It is with a very heavy heart that I am not able to keep her. She has completely stolen my heart! However, with 3 other dogs and 2 cats, I don't think I am ready for the commitment of another dog. When I got her she was in terrible shape, and I wanted to make sure she was completely healthy and vetted before finding her forever home. I believe she would do best in a home with maybe an older couple or someone who's kids have moved out. A quiet home, as she is very timid. She does have a very cute personality once she warms up to you though! I would also love to stay in touch with her adopter and get updates every now and then ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F I am only asking for a $75 adoption fee to help repay some of the vetting expenses and allow me to help the next dog in need.
