About Axel

Posted on 12/13/17, and his picture was taken on 11/29/17. He keeps his ears down when I try to get more videos of him, so I have not updated his pictures yet. I picked Axel up from the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter on 11/29/17. He had been picked up on CR 3140 on 11/8/17 weighing 30 pounds, and estimated to be 4 years old. He was scared in the kennel at the shelter. Once out of the kennel, he was in my lap licking my face while I was signing his release papers, good on a leash, and likes going for rides. I have let him run around several of my dogs with no problems, but he can act dominant to some other male dogs. He was neutered on 1/5/2018. He does not like being inside a home, so he requires a fenced yard with shelter, and although I put him on my lap at the shelter, he is not a lap dog. He does jump on my leg to get my attention to pet him. He was heartworm positive when I got him from the shelter, and has been on heartworm prevention since, so he should be negative by now using the slow kill treatment. He was estimated to have been born around 2013, and weighed 30.0 pounds on 11/8/17.
