Hi I'm Jett. I am a neutered, 9 month old, male Pitbull mix. I currently way 60 lbs. I have had a rough start for the beginning of my young life. My original owner got in trouble so I ended up at someone else's house. They couldn't keep me because their daughter was afraid and that landed me at another home for just a few days before I was lucky enough to find my current foster mom. My ideal living arrangements would be an adult only household with one larger dog, 70lbs or over. Preferably a younger dog that can handle rough play. Visiting older children would be fine. I have a high prey drive so cats and little dogs are not the best idea. I currently live with both but it's not the best situation for everyone. I am a sweet loving dog that loves to cuddle when I have expended my massive energy reserve. I need to be reminded to settle at the end of the day and I am getting better at this. I do well in a crate and when my foster mom tells me to get in my house and I hear that cookie jar, I will run to my crate and wait for that delicious treat. I am housebroken and I ring the sleigh bells on the door to go outside. Just remember, you just need to drop what you're doing and take me out when I ring those bells or we are talking about messy accident. Also, don't sleep in or you will find a puddle in the kitchen. I know my basic commands sit, down, wait, paw, leave it, enough, and gentle. I am learning the word 'settle' means no more playing. I have still not got the hang of loose leash walking but I am working on it. I really need someone that can take me to training classes and has the time to work with me on a daily basis. I am a good boy with lots of potential. I still have some resource guarding issues with the other animals and some territory guarding as well which is where training classes will come in handy for me. I like to see what you have cooking on the counter so watch out or I will steal it. One other thing�'�|don't leave your shoes out as I will take them�'�| it will not be to try them on but to see how they taste. My foster mom says I have great potential to be a fabulous dog. I just need someone to show me some direction and lots of love. Please don't pass me by.
