About Lacy

Lacy Hound mix 8 - 10 weeks Lacy is a striking puppy with beautiful patches of brindle on her face and paws! She is a tiny thing (for now), but that doesn't let it stop her. She is adventurous and loves to explore her surroundings, inside and out. Lacy hasn't met a dog that she doesn't like! She is always ready to play with her foster siblings and isn't afraid of dogs much bigger than her. She also LOVES people. She is extremely friendly and is always eager to be scooped up so she can wiggle and happily gives out tons of kisses. She even gets carried around by small kids and enjoys it! Lacy is also a lover! She delights in being the center of attention and can't wait to be cuddled. She is all about snuggling with people. Whether it's in a chair, on the couch, or in bed, she will seek you out and find a special spot to hunker down with you. She especially favors burrowing into the crook of your arm! Lacy is working on housebreaking and will go to the door. Since she is so young, she needs to be let out often. However, she has been able to make it through the night without any accidents. She tolerates being in the crate after some grumbling and will settle down, but she would much rather be with you. She is eager to please and is already learning some simple commands like 'come' and 'sit'. Lacy is looking for that special family that will spoil her and give her plenty of cuddle time! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
