About Chicken Wing

Jack Russell
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Chicken Wing is a 13 yr old rough coated Jack Russell Terrier. I am told from his former owner that he was hit by a car years ago and his right front leg was broken but he was never taken to a vet. His leg has since atrophied and he holds it close to his body at all times. The leg causes him no pain or discomfort. He will allow you to touch it and trim his nails. He is good for bathing and brushing. He gets along very well on 3 legs. He really does not act his age, he has so much energy and loves to run and be a part of the family - he wants to be in the middle of whatever is going on. He loves to go on long walks. He has not shown any aggression towards humans - only cats, birds and rodents. He is a happy little dog, always glad to see you and his tail is always wagging. He does well with dogs that are neutral or passive. He's not an overly dominant dog but he does not like to be challenged. He is possessive when it comes to his toys, he enjoys chew toys and antlers and he does not like when other dogs approach and/or try to take them. My dogs are not chewers and they are not interested in such things, Chicken has them all to himself. I feel that he would be good with older children who know how to respect animals. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is heartworm Negative. I like him a lot and would adopt him myself but I have cats and he is not kind to them. I'd love to see him go somewhere with a fenced in yard or property where he can run! He is a good boy who deserves a forever home.
