About Penny

Gentleness is written wide on Penny's gracious face, more than matching her sweet, calm, and mellow nature. At a stately 60 pounds, the former dog mama who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, LOVES everyone, adults and children alike, and loves simply being with them. Moderately energetic, she enjoys going on walks and sniffing curiously around, playing gently with her toys and with the other dog in her foster home, making merry little clicking sounds with her tongue as she does! Well trained and well behaved, she never barks, chews inappropriately or jumps up on counters, and knows her 'come', 'sit' and 'off' commands. An excellent rider in the car, she's leash, crate and housetrained, and her crate is her 'go to' place when she needs some doggy down time or a well-earned nap. Now all she needs to complete this near perfect picture is a loving home to call hers fur-ever.
