About Aries

In astrology Aries is the flying ram with Golden Fleece. In real life, Aries the dog is a 3 yr. old, brindle Pit Bull/Lab mix who weighs in the 60-65 lb. range. When Aries first came to the shelter she had a horrific ear infection which made her shake her head dozens of times a day. Now that she's on medication, Aries seems much more comfortable and maybe even ready to fly. Her name means 'intuitive,' one who 'wants to grow wise and understand people and things,' and 'SheKnows.' You can see it in Aries eyes: sometimes she looks so worried and sad, as if 'SheKnows' but doesn't understand why she has been left behind. Still, to slowly spend time with Aires is to sense her wisdom and to feel as if she truly wants to understand you. Whether it's because of some inner golden fleece or not, there's just something pretty special about this homeless girl. SheKnows. Aries may do best as the only dog in a home with no small children.
