About Carlie

Boxer / Foxhound
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi everyone! My name is Carlie! I am just about to be 2 years old, am spayed, and I'm looking for a specific kind of home. I hope it is with you! Let me tell you about myself... I have been at Michiana before and have been brought back due to having a hard time when my people aren't around me. I am a very high energy girl with a great temperament towards people. However, I will do best in a home where my owners are around most of the time. I do amazing with people. I have done well with kiddos that are about 10 years and older. I am such a fun girl! I love going to dog parks and playing with other dogs, but I do have challenges when I am on leash and meeting dogs. However, I most likely will do best as the only animal in my new home. My previous owners worked very hard to teach my how to walk nicely on a leash and I am doing wonderful at it. I still need some help on learning how to act when I see other dogs. I really want to play with them, but it doesn't come off that way. Will you take time to teach me? Running is one of my most favorite things. I'm a fast girl! If you like to run, too, we could be buddies! A fenced-in yard would be best for me. I have been known to escape before so keeping me safe in a backyard to get exercise daily would be ideal for me. I am a very snuggly and cuddly girl inside the home. I love belly-rubs and really like to sit next to you on the couch or keep you warm in bed at night. I do have some quirks but I hope you give me the chance to show you what a great girl I can be. Love, Carlie.
