About Swifty

Adoption Fee: $200
Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Swifty is a beautiful, snuggly, sweet, gentle and loving two-year-old, 58-pound, female, chocolate and vanilla pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian. Swifty is full of kisses and tails wags for all the people she meets. And, if you sit on the floor she'll snuggle in your lap. Swifty is a fairly low-energy girl who enjoys short walks and short spurts of play. She'll play fetch for a little while, or go for a short walk around the neighborhood. She prefers longer walks if you take her out of her own neighborhood. She loves to explore. She is very responsive and loves to learn new things. She already knows the commands sit, down, paw, roll-over and stay. She also enjoys road trips! She's joined her foster mom on six-hour road trips with no issue at all. She is housebroken and crate-trained and stays in her crate when her mom leaves the home. Swifty is great with children and has never shown any aggression at all to a human. She loves loves, loves, loves people, but she was never socialized with other animals. So, we are looking for a home with no other pets. She'd love a home with a fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. She can be dog-reactive, but that just means you cross the street when you see another dog approaching. She's really a sweet and loving home-body of a dog happy to love her family and stick to her own fenced-in yard. Swifty is extremely healthy, spayed, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and up-to-date on vaccines. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact her adoption counselor Kat at [email protected] to meet her. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. She comes complete with a lifetime of professional training. She is currently being fostered in the Shorewood/Joliet, Illinois area.
