About Lila

Lila is currently fostered in Lake Placid, FL (Highlands County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Lila is a possible min pin x Dachshund mix of about 2-3 years of age and weighs 22 lbs. She was found as a stray with her 6 puppies and brought to the shelter underweight with heartworm, trauma to one of her eyes (which she is now blind in) and parasites. She is now finishing up crate rest from heartworm treatment, has been treated for her other ailments. It is time for her to start looking for a loving forever home. Even though she was mistreated in the past, this girl has never met a person she doesn't like. Lila is housebroken, crate trained, dog- and cat-friendly, friendly and outgoing. She is learning basic commands and social skills. She learns quickly because she is eager to please. She is learning how to walk nicely on a leash and loves to go for walks. She also loves to run for fun, so a fenced yard would be ideal for her. Her favorite thing to do is be near you. Lila will make a faithful companion and love you unconditionally. She promises to make you happy - she is just so cute and happy. Lila is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventives.
