About Tootie

Tootie is an absolutely beautiful dog, inside and out. She is so soft, her face feels like it's velvet! She's mostly if not all Pittie but may have something else mixed in. She's small, only about 45 pounds. She's still putting on weight but I don't think she'll go past that. She's about 3, give or take a few months.. Tootie does have some special needs. She has had a very tough time. In fact, her previous life was pretty rotten. We've had her for a month and a half working with her. She had zero manners. Although she has improved tremendously, she is still unsure of herself and has some anxiety. Loud noises startle her. She shows no aggression, seems in fact somewhat submissive. No food, water or toy aggression at all. She plays well with other dogs, one of them another special needs dog like her. I think she would prefer being an only dog, or at least being with a quieter dog - she doesn't last as long playing as the 2 younger dogs. Non-reactive to cats through a window but no actual contact. Seems fine with all people, unknown how she would react to a small child pulling on her. She is crate trained, still uses it as a safe spot. She walks pretty good on a leash and responds when her name is called with the word come. She hasn't had an accident in the house for at least 3 weeks, she is let out regularly... We require an adoption contract and home visits. We will need contact for the first year, the adoption fee is refundable, and she MUST be returned to us if you can't keep her - FOR HER LIFETIME!! We worked hard saving this little girls life, she is going to the best home only!
