About Mia

Sweet Mia is asking Santa for her final Forever Home this Christmas. Is she your new family member you've been looking for? Affectionate Mia is a 5-6 year old black Lab mix who is spayed, up-to-date on shots, as of January of 2017, housebroken, non-destructive in the house, good on a leash and LOVES to be petted and be with her family. She loves walks, too!! She was temperament tested by the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and found to be good with dogs but has not been around dogs since last spring. She is not good around small dogs but lives with a cat and likes them and does very well with kids. She does not like thunder, yelling or extremely loud noises. Her busy family found her as a stray last February and she is microchipped but no one ever returned their calls, so they decided to make her a part of their family. However, this family is gone for long hours and Mia needs more. The family and Mia are heartbroken about this decision but believe there's a much better forever home out there for this wonderful girl. They are committed to helping her find it.
