About Sophie

This lovely little lady is the one and only Sophie. At around 3 yrs old and 20-25 lbs Sophie is pretty perfect! Her foster mom in Alabama wrote a note for her future family and we thought it described her so well it should be shared: 'Dear Future Sophie's Owner, Seven months ago I rescued Sophie from a terrible situation. She was covered in fleas, malnourished, had mange, and very scared of humans. If I could describe Sophie in a word it would be FIGHTER!! Every day she has made progress to be the dog she was meant to be all along. Sophie is smart, playful, affectionate, loving, energetic, social and a little sassy! Please always cherish her like I have. Show her that humans are good people. Sophie is a wonderful dog, and deserves the best life! She may take some time to come around, but please be patient with her. ' We can attest that Sophie is as great as her foster mom says and whomever adopts her into their home will be very lucky. Sophie is good with other dogs, and seems a little more comfortable when meeting new people in their presence, so likely would do well in a home with another dog, or a patient person willing to give her time to come around and show her true colors. Sophie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and up to date on basic vet care, and ready for the next chapter in her life!
