Piccolo about 8 months old as of 12/20) is a neutered male black (with white spots on his belly and two toes) short-haired kitten. Piccolo was born in a feral cat colony but rescued along with his siblings and mother when he was just a newborn and raised in foster care. Unfortunately his mother was very feral and so stressed being in captivity she rejected 2 of her 5 kittens (who were fine with a little bottle feeding) and she nearly rejected Piccolo as well, sometimes cutting him off from feeding when we wanted to keep nursing. This has given Piccolo his worst flaw, a minor case of food aggression. If you have something tasty on your fingers Piccolo will try to eat them first and ask questions later, so not the best kitten for families with super small children. He's not mean though, he absolutely loves people and seeks a lot of attention. He's very submissive and unlike his brother Bear who won't be held at all Piccolo will throw himself in your arms any chance he gets and loves being cradled like a baby so he can give you kisses. He has had limited experience with dogs and could probably only adapt to a very quiet small dog with a healthy respect for cats, but he loves other kitties and would love a playmate like his brother Bear or even an older cuddle buddy. Our adoption fee for kittens 6-12 months old is $100, which includes them getting fixed, microchipped, tested for FIV and FeLV, and up to date on vaccines. If you would like to meet a variety of our kittens, many not listed here yet, please check out our regular adoption events, Sundays from 12-4 at the Vernon Hills Petco.
