About Phoenix and Arizona

Adoption Fee: $75
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Phoenix and Arizona They do not have to be adopted together but if you're looking for two new family members these two are special and they are obviously bonded and in love with each other. This adorable brother-sister pair have a beautiful leopard spotted coat with a silver-brown undercoat. They are approx 1yr and have been vet checked and spayed/neutered. Their adoption fee is $75 each. Their mom had a family but when they moved away they threw her out with the trash unfixed. Of course she got pregnant! It was her first heat around 6mo. She was a kitten having kittens. She made her way to an office complex where she had her babies in the dirt. A wonderful animal loving person took them all home to safety. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. ABANDONING AN ANIMAL/LIFE IS INHUMANE! PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! When it was time everybody got fixed, mom and 2 kittens got adopted'|leaving Phoenix and Arizona. Phoenix is the smaller female. Arizona is the bigger male. These two were the shyest of the litter but the foster family has put hours of patience and love into getting them ready for adoption. They will need an adjustment period, probably longer than the typical 2 wks but you can see in the pictures that these two will be wonderful kitties for the right home. They are great with the other cats and the big lazy dog in the foster home. No kids and no barky dogs. Info from their foster mom'| 'Phoenix and Arizona like to hang out in the living room with us, but would definitely hide if new people came in. They love being petted, and actually start competing with each other to get the most attention (kind of flopping in front of each other repeatedly). But it has taken quite a while to get to this point and I expect it would be similar with their new people. I have recently started picking them up to try to get them used to the feeling -- just for a few seconds at a time right now. If you walked right toward them to try to pick up or touch they would run. Fast forceful pushy behavior will not win them over. Update'|Phoenix now jumps on the couch with me evert night to get attention. She loves to stretch out right up against my lap and get petted. Arizona now jumps onto the bed every night and wants attention. He races into the bedroom when we start to head that way. He will sleep in bed with us on and off throughout the night. One thing that is helpful -- they are both very food motivated. Both are now in the habit of approaching my husband when he's in the kitchen because they know he'll give them a taste of whatever he's eating. We have been feeding wet food every evening when we get home, and it has really helped get them into the habit of coming out from wherever they were sleeping all day to join the rest of us. Both will eat treats out of your hand. So far, Arizona is the more vocal of the two -- sometimes we hear him talking as he walks through the house. He loves to play with feather toys, shoelaces, and even chases his own tail quite a bit. He spends a good deal of time on our cat tree. Phoenix is petite, but she is probably the bolder one of the pair. She will play with anything on a string, and has dumped the entire contents of our cat toy basket and scatter them throughout the house.' Phoenix and Arizona are both sweet kitties, not aggressive just timid. They are not in your face or holdy holdy kitties but they are extremely comical, fun to watch and it's exciting to watch them grow, come out of their shell and become part of the family. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, laser lite, inside home ADOPT Phoenix and/or Arizona FOR LIFE!
