About Bogey

Bogey is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families! Bogey is currently fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). Bogey is 3 years old and all of 11 pounds. He is a little scruffy dude that dances on his legs and has a smile on his face. He was brought to a shelter after his owner died. He is playful, a little independent, but does prefer to be around people. We would not recommend small children or toddlers at this time. He is terrier-like in nature and likes to be outdoors. He plays with other dogs and does get along with the other dogs in his foster home. He likes to snuggle, plays tug and enjoys a good game of ball. He is crate trained and housebroken. He still needs to get used to a car. He will need a terrier-savvy person and/or a person that understands he is NOT the boss. He will need obedience classes, and while he is a lap dog he needs to not dictate where and when he gets the lap. He is a delightful boy once he knows you rule the roost, walks fine on lead and will be a delightful companion dog. Bogey is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm negative.
