About Dolly

Adoption Fee: $25
American Shorthair / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Dolly is a 2017 Home for the Holidays cat. This will be Dolly's 4th Christmas under shelter care as she has been waiting 3 years for someone to offer her the first home she would ever experience. Dolly entered the shelter in Dec 2014 as a very feral 8 week old kitten who was trapped to keep her from freezing and starving to death. It would take a long time for Dolly to overcome her fears and begin the path towards living life without concerns for being hurt. While she is still a somewhat introverted and shy girl, she will greet her caretakers and enjoys their attention. She needs a bit of time to warm to visitors but we have no doubts that if offered a peaceful home, she will blossom into a wonderful companion. Dolly's fee has been subsidized by a sponsor to $25. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and tested free of FIV/FeLV. Application can be submitted online at our website: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/'|/cat-adopti'|/ or at the shelter. Adoption policies/application procedures are detailed under All Adoptable Animals. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home suitable for their needs and committed to their care and safety. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. Adopters who are not within the local area of the shelter MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. Meeting approved adopters is one of the final steps in the adoption process. We do not permit transport or shipping of our residents without the adopter. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Resident animals are owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The shelter is not permitted by GA law to accept strays. The facility is usually operating at capacity with a list of animals approved for intake waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Closed Mondays Location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571, Phone: 706-865-4135 Email: [email protected] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/smithgallhumanesociety/ Charles Smithgall Humane Society is located in the mountains of NE GA, 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen.
