About Sherlock

Sherlock is a very high energy dog that needs loads of space. I think he would do well with other big dogs that have the energy to play with him. He would make a great Running companion. He is slightly aggressive/nippy and very aggressive with his toys/food when trying to take away from him or when he thinks you are trying to take away. He is being bullied by the neighborhood kids (live in the city) even though I have gone out of my way to put space between him and them. They taunt him and throw things at him and so I have to bring him inside at times or go out and chase the kids away. This is not a good situation for him and not fair to him and his training. He sits, lays down and will wait for a treat if you tell him to wait. With proper training he will be a great dog. very loving when not being over energetic. He his is a plott hound and I think he really wants to run with a pack of dogs so I hope you would have other dogs or want to spend quite a bit of time with him. He is too big for my small dogs and they are old and frail so he is too much for them. Must have Plott Hound experience and Training with out any kind of physical punishment he just gets more aggressive and almost got a kid who was trying to hit him over the fence. Please help me find him the ideal place and person who can make him shine. Comes with a no pull harness and lead, and toys. Adaption fee is so I know you can afford him and does not nearly cover my costs for his care and toys so far. Willing to deliver from NY city area down to Northern VA DC area. If you can take him the week after Christmas I will be in NC near the NW. So around Christmas I can meet up anywhere from Philly to DC then down the West side of VA to NC. He is crate trainned.
