Sherlock is a fixed male Plott Hound. Not sure if he is pure blood nor not but he was found in the Mountains in NC. He is about 9 to 10 months old. He hasn't attacked any dog so far but he does try to dominate them. He is a big very energetic dog who wants to play. Would do best in home with other big dog/s as he wants to be part of a pack. He chases smaller animals but so far hasn't bit them. He did try to gently pull a kitten out from under the sofa. He is in the inner city and I am having issues with kids trying to hurt him. As such he barks at most of them but the few that are friendly to him still come try to pet him (I have put up a tall fence by the sidewalk). Sherlock is very nippy at times but responds well to training. He can sit, lay down. 'Wait' for a treat, and we are working on place. He is crate trained. He is better behaved when he has plenty of exercise and training time. I have physical limitations and his situation is deteriorating with the kids in the neighborhood. He is a wonderful dog and with training, plenty of space, having a pack to run with and someone with patience to work with him this dog will be loyal to the end. Rehoming fee is $200 which in no way covers my costs in the last 4 months but allows me to know you have the means to care for him. He comes with toys, no pull harness, and leash and enough food to change him to what ever you want. He is toy and food aggressive if he thinks you are going to take away from him. He also doesn't do well on a food with grains. So we feed a grain free kibble.
