Meet Athena. She is a hybrid Husky-Wolf, and originally she came with papers. She was purchased by my son in Oklahoma and she lived with him in his apartment for 4 years. She is a very sweet and lovable animal. She has been spayed, but this is after birthing two different litters of puppies. Her first litter was four live births and her second litter was seven (SEVEN!). I took responsibility for her when I realized my son could no longer care for her properly, and he found himself homeless. He is now in a rehab/residential program which could last up to two years, and I am not able to care for her. She is homeless and in need of someone who understands the mentality and bonding issues of a Timber Wolf. She needs room to run, but I fear she cannot live in a situation without adequate fencing, as her need to run is innate. She does not do well with cats or other small animals (no small dogs), but she is very socialized and does well with large dog breeds. We have never had an issue with her around children or dogs. This is a desperate situation for me, as I do not want to surrender her to a shelter for fear of who might get her and how they might use her. I will conduct Vet background checks on anyone who wishes to adopt her. Email me for additional information - serious inquiries only.
