About Gemma

Gemma is a gentle, shy and sweet, four-year-old, green-eyed, female grey and white Maine Coon-mix cat looking for a loving guardian. Chubby Gemma gets along with all people, cats and dogs. She's an all-around a fabulous cat. She also has the most beautiful long white whiskers I've ever seen on a cat! Gemma would be fine as an only cat, or also fine when introduced properly to other cats and dogs. She likes to sleep in bed with her foster family. She was rescued from Chicago Animal Care & Control and was so sick that she currently has a chronic upper respiratory infection just like allergies. But, she doesn't let that get her down. She just has runny eyes and nose from time to time. Gemma is otherwise healthy, has all her claws, is spayed, virus-tested, micro-chipped and up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control. She has been fostered in Libertyville, Illinois, for over a year.
