About Susi

UPDATE ON SUSI on 12/6/17: Susi is pregnant and too far along for us to spay her so she is going to have to have the babies, raise them and then get spayed before she will be looking for a home. It will February before Susie is available for adoption. On palpation the vet thinks she is only carrying a couple of pups. Susi is a Scottish Terrier who is about 7 years old. She has not had the best that life has to offer. She was a pet for the first two years of her life and then she got sold into a breeding situation where she spent the next 5 years with someone raising money off of her continiously having puppies. She got released by the breeder because she was getting too old to keep on breeding (gee go figure) and then came to us. Low and behold - we believe she is pregnant. She will be going into the vet this week and if she isn't pregnant or isn't too far along she will be spayed. Keep your fingers crossed that we can get her fixed - she doesn't need the responsibility of another litter of puppies - she has been put through that enough in her life. She is a little shy but no aggression. Our guess would be she is not housebroken but if she was when she was a 'pet' it may be fairly easy to re-train her. So far she hasn't had any accidents in her kennel. She is very quiet. This poor baby deserves more out of life than nursing babies - we are hoping to find her a home that will teach her that humans aren't all monsters and she will get lots of loving. Once she is in the vet next week we will have more answers.
