About Georgia and Franklin

Adoption Fee: $50
Catahoula
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

I'd love to see these two go to a new home together, they've spent their whole lives together and are best buds. Georgia (the black one) if a full blooded Catahoula. She's about 7 years old, about 90 lbs, and is the sweetest dog I've ever met. She very mellow and low energy, she just wants to lay at your feet and be petted. She's very submissive (I suspect she was abused at a very young age) and has a moderate aversion to loud noises. She's still a great guard dog though and won't let anyone in the yard unnoticed. She has no health issues though we did have to remove a tumor from her hind leg last year. It does not appear to be returning. Franklin is a mix (catahoula and hound??) of about 6 years and 75lbs. He is a very sweet affectionate dog but with a slightly more dominate nature than Georgia. Don't think you're going to pet Georgia without Franklin nosing in for his piece of the action! Franklin does have some hip issues but isn't currently on any meds and is getting on just fine but it helps that he's a pretty low energy dog as well. He is a bit sensitive about them and I'd be cautious with smaller children that could fall on him or lay on him. He's good about giving some warning if he's uncomfortable though. We have raised our son (now 4) without any incidents but we were pretty cautious during the earlier years. These guys sleep inside every night and spend a lot of time indoors but are happy to stay in our fenced yard during our absences however they won't roam if the gate is left open. We love these guys but our situation is about to change so we're trying to find a loving home for them.
