Fostered in TUCSON, ARIZONA (Call Victoria at 520-336-2511) Takuya is a 2-year-old youngster who has a lot of questions: Are you going to eat that? Did you say...go for a walk? Can I interest you in a game of BALL? Full of bubbly energy, his hilarious youngster antics will keep you laughing all day! He is very sweet and affectionate, and will calmly settle down next to you for a pet or scratch. He is a rare long-haired Akita, however this past summer's hot weather forced us to shave him down due to hotspots. He was never intended for kennel life, and needs to live in a loving HOME. Choose him to be a part of your family and you won't regret it! He should be the only child and pet in the family since he does not appreciate sharing his toys or food but does respond well to positive reinforcement training. He is non-reactive to other dogs on a leash but he can be territorial and does not want to share his space with other animals, so a multi dog household, or off-leash environments are not for him. Although he may consider living with a large breed submissive female. Due to his size, exuberance and resource guarding he should not live with young children. Potential adopters should have a great relationship with a groomer or be willing to groom an extremely furry large dog.
