About Marley

Adoption Fee: $100
Australian Cattle Dog / Boxer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Marley(F) Arrival date Nov 1, 2017 (2 yrs old at intake) Marley is an Australian Cattle Dog (red tick heeler) mix who has spent her young life at the end of a chain having puppies. Her owner was persuaded to relinquish her to Animal Control and our shelter then stepped in to bring her into safety. She is deaf. She is a loving happy girl who has a total joyous spirit. She is so grateful for attention, the freedom of running in the play yards and sniffing expeditions on leash. She would do best in a home with either no dogs or one very mellow dog based on early observations. Young children may be cause for concern because of her deafness. She wants to be close to the person showing her affection and attention and may be come anxious if another dog wishes to share in that attention. But her new family must help her overcome anxieties and understand that she has never had love and attention and must learn that there is enough for all. Volunteers and staff have found her to be a lovable cuddlebug. Adoption fee $100. Apply online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/'|/dog-adopti'|/ or at the shelter. Adoption policies/application procedures are detailed under All Adoptable Animals. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home suitable for their needs and committed to their care and safety. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home as we do not arrange nor do we allow outside arrangement of transport or shipping of our residents. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Resident animals are owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The shelter is not permitted by GA law to accept strays. The facility is usually operating at capacity with a list of animals approved for intake waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.
