Peanut is a good boy, he needs to be on a piece of property that is fenced in or property so large that he can roam. Peanut would do very well with another dog that is playful. He is blind in one eye and should have the eye sewn up by a veterinarian. His eye has been gone for over a year and we use a warm compress and eye drops twice a day to keep it clean. Peanut likes people of all ages and is emotional when greeting people. Peanut has started to become territorial, if another dog is between our children (under 12), Peanut will growl and become aggressive towards the dog, especially if our children give that dog attention. We are re-homing him because he NEEDS MORE ACTIVITY and a job! His breed needs work and Peanut has been unemployed, and because he is board, he finds mischief (like chasing cats). He has been an indoor/outdoor dog and wants to sleep at the foot of a bed at night, however, I think he would do alright if sleeping with another dog. It is heart breaking to find a new home for him, but we are not able to give him the time and attention he needs. We know Peanut has very little hearing, and are sure that he has had hearing issues since birth. We do have a vibrating collar to keep track of him when he is outside or to keep him from jumping up on guests. He understands basic hand signals, however we are not always able to stomp on the ground for vibration or catch his attention with his one eye, we sometimes need that collar. Peanut is well loved, we will have to visit and see if the new home will be a good fit. Despite all of his issues, Peanut is a very sweet dog that deserves a good home where he can play and be loved.
