Meet Lady and The Tramp - they have an incredible love story and we are in search of a home to provide them a fairy-tale, happy ending! Tramp is a teeny-tiny 8-years' young neutered male Chihuahua, just 4-pounds. Lady is a 6-year old spayed female Chihuahua, and weighs 5.5 pounds. They are a bonded pare and adore each other. Their adoption fee is $475 for the pair. Both Tramp and Lady are very loving, and delight in a soft lap to snuggle on or a blanket to crawl under. They like to quietly play, and prance around together or with play other dogs. They sleep soundly through the night, under the covers, close by their person and are very attentive to their owner. Tramp and Lady are very well adjusted and enjoy people, dogs, and cats alike. The love to go on car rides, keep your lap warm while you are working at your computer, and keep you company around the house. Both dogs were underweight and thin when they arrived to the rescue. They are on their way to a healthy weight, but still have a ways to go. They both like to eat, which makes this situation easy to deal with. They are smooth coat chihuahua's and are 'wash and wear' dogs. They will need basic grooming every 6 weeks to keep them in tip-top shape (trim nails, etc.). They will need a grain-free diet to keep them healthy and their coats beautiful. I will require a fully fenced yard so that I do not run away. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend - this will ensure that I have enough exercise to burn off my excessive energy. Rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, they should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Due to their small size 4 pounds and 5-pounds, they will need an adult home or a home with small-dog savvy children that are respectful of size and boundaries of petite dogs. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $475. Our adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. We are in the Seattle area, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.
