Meet sweet boy Ralph! Ralph is a 2 year old pitt mix and weighs around 55 pounds. We pulled Ralph from the Wabash Animal Shelter where he had been adopted out but then kept on the end of a chain outside in his new 'home'. The owners called the police stating their dog was being aggressive, however, he never showed any aggression to anyone that helped rescue him. Wabash reached out for help from a Rescue Group and we said we would take him on. Cindy assessed and he has never shown any aggression whatsoever. Ralph has done so well since arriving with AHS and is learning new things every day. He has learned not to jump and comes when called. He does well with dogs and doesn't mind cats. Ralph still hasn't learned how to play with other dogs. Ralph LOVES to play with toys and typically avoids other dogs. He is pretty calm and pretty much stays to himself. Ralph would do perfectly as an only pet because his true love are his humans. He loves human affection! He has such a sweet disposition. He is very muscular and strong, but really is easy to handle and very calm. He would make a good running or cycling buddy, but is also up to just chilling on the couch. Ralph has a lot to catch up on. What we mean by that is that he needs to learn how to enjoy life as a pet. He previously was kept on the end of a chain with little attention/interaction. He is still learning what it means to be a dog that can play and get belly rubs. He is afraid of car rides and will need continued training. Ralph is house and crate trained. He would do best in a home without children (he can scare easy). Ralph needs a fenced in yard and cannot be on a tie out (it causes anxiety and we don't blame him based on his history!). He really needs a home with a calm, relaxing environment. Can you give Ralph a REAL forever home that he deserves? Adoption fee: $100 Last updated 5/10/18 Interested in this dog/cat?
