About Keyla

Do I look familiar? I'm Keyla. I was adopted this summer, but the family I was with had to return me because I protect my food and toys too much. I know they loved me, and I loved them, but they said I had to come back. Please don't let my age deter you from considering adopting me. I may be 9 years old and a larger pup, but I promise I still have so much love left to give. I am spayed and am well over 100 pounds, so I'm a big lady! I am usually calm if you respect my belongings. I am wonderful with meeting people. I would prefer any children in my new home to be about 13 and older so that they are respectful of me. My owners wanted to make sure I had a chance at a new rest of my life. I appreciate them for doing that. They loved me very much and took good care of me. My friends here at Michiana have looked me over and they say I really seem to be in pretty good health! I would like it if my new owners had previous experience with large dogs. I'm a smart girl - I know how to sit, stay, give paw, and I walk very nicely on a leash. Treats are the best - yum! I am wonderful at being mostly house-trained and I am not at all destructive when I am left out alone. I love to chew on bones! Regarding other animals, at my age I'd like to live out my golden years in peace. I'd like to keep my food and my toys to myself, it makes me nervous when other animals go near them. I'll do perfectly fine as the only animal in the home. I enjoy the peace and quiet at my age! The shelter can be hard on us older animals, so I'd love to find my next forever family soon.
