Meet Axel! Axel is a handsome boy ready to find his forever home. He came to ACL after he was found outside as a stray. When Axel first arrived at the shelter, he was terrified. It took him about two weeks to come out of his shell and once he did -he'd be rubbing against his cage every morning waiting for ACL staff to greet (and feed!) him. Unfortunately, Axel wound up coming back to Animal Care League as a stray and is now hoping to find his permanent furrever home! Axel's adopters should allow him time to settle in his new home at his own pace. Axel has a moderately high energy level should have at least two 15-minute dedicated play sessions each day. He can become overstimulated with a lot of petting and play so his adopters should be well versed in feline body language and read his signals when he's had enough. Axel looking for a home where he'll be able to spend quality time with his human companions but also time on his own exploring! He'd do best in a home with adults and/or older children (12+).
