Skye came to the rescue not knowing if we could save her. Skye was completely emaciated, just skin and bone. SHe was also dangerously anemic and dehydrated. Skye spent 4 days in intensive care. My big dogs were on constant stand-by for a blood transfusion. She had bloodwork every 8 hours to make sure her organs were not shutting down. She was too thin to have her spayed as she would not have survived the surgery. Skye was named for her beautiful sky blue eyes. Skye pulled through due to amazing will to live. Skye is extremely special to us at the rescue. Skye is 4 years old and has gained a good 20-25 pounds. She has been spayed. Skye is about 65-70 pounds. Skye is a bit shy at first but has become much more social. She does take a few days to trust people. Skye loves walks and really likes laying in the sunshine. Skye needs a home with no young children as the jumping and yelling tends to frighten her. She also becomes very attached to her human and does not to share their affection. If you can give Skye the very special home she so deserves, please contact us.
