Darling Clara really knows how to make a person feel special. Every time you come home, she'll greet you with a wagging tail and a special dance known only to her breed--the Rat Terrier circle dance of delight. A cheerful girl, who is not quite 8 years old, Clara loves to be with her humans, and at 15 lbs., she's just the right size for cuddling. Clara is the perfect blend of athlete and couch potato. She will enthusiastically go for a walk, nose to the ground, ears perked, and ever so polite on her leash. She also enjoys romping with other playful dogs, but she seems to consider cats to be toys only good for chasing and so might be too much for all but the most dog-savvy cats. When it's time to relax, she'll be more than happy to chill with you on the couch. She's good about sharing precious lap and sofa real estate with her 4-year-old human foster brother and is patient with him even when he forgets his manners. Sometimes, however, she is not quite as generous towards her canine foster siblings, but being eager to please, she will share when you remind her. While she sleeps in a crate at night, she's not particularly eager to do so and will tell you this with her very own unique vocalizations. She is not a barker unless something really exciting happens, but she almost 'talks,' similar to the way some Huskies do. Clara is mostly house-trained and has had very few accidents in her foster home. She does best when taken out on a leash to relieve herself. We have it on good authority that Clara will be adding several more circles to her dance of delight when she finds her forever home. Isn't that something you'd like to see?
