About Simon

Simon is a 10 year old Siamese house Cat. He does have heath issues but the ones listed were not issues he has. Simon has been an indoor cat for his entire left and I have had him since he was a kitten. He has never been around any other cats or dogs but I can't imagine that he would get along well with them. He Has never been a very friendly cat and can be mean (I.e scratching/hissing) unprovoked. The vet believes it is related to overstimulation. He had a hernia repair when he was a kitten but has had no other issues or complications from that. When he was around 2-3 years old he began getting urinary tract infections due to crystials in his urine and has been on prescirption Cat food (urinary so) since then. He also began developing skin problems around the same time and after lots of testing and different medications the vet determined he has eosinophilic granuloma which is tested with atopica for cats (a prescription med given in his food). When he first started it was daily but I have weaned him down to getting it weekly. Simon is a beautiful cat but I will be honest with anyone interested in him. He has never been friendly even to me. I have spoken to the vet about it extensively but they just feel that it is his personality. Simon would be perfect for someone who loves Siamese and understands their sometimes difficult temperaments. He can be playful and loves playing with his little snake or with toys on strings. However he does get overstimulated If i try to pet him and this will cause him to bite or scratch me. I have had simon for a long time and hve always dealt with his grumpy personality but am now moving and unable to take him with me. I do not have the option of brinjng him to a shelter due to his health issues. I don't want to list him randomly on Craigslist because it is important to me he has a good home.
