About KANGA

Meet little 6.5'pound Peggy. She is 2 to 3 years of age and was rescued from a very high kill shelter. She has three working legs and one of her front legs is deformed due to a birth defect. She gets along great on her 3 remaining legs though. She has come from a very neglectful and abusive background was extremely traumatized and shut down when we rescued her a few months ago. She has made leaps and bounds with her foster family and is now able to be handled. We are looking for a home with a very patient family she tends to like women better but is coming around to men she will do best in a quiet home with another submissive animal (or as the only dog ) as she is extremely submissive herself. She now will use the pee pads and she will also go outside. We are still working on getting her to walk on a leash. (as she was very undersocialized and is afraid of every loud noise) Her new family will need to be very gentle and encouraging with her. She gets along with dogs but is terrified if they are too aggressive towards her.
