About Lily-ADOPTION PENDING

Cairn / Scottish Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

When we are asked about a special rescue pup that is snuggly, sweet and very loving, we can't help but think of Lily. Her smile is shining...and she's a world class lap dog. Lily's rescuer mom knows it's morning when Lily's little head comes under the blanket...getting closer and closer..and then a big kiss and a wag of delight. This curious and really, really smart 8 month old, 10 lb Terrier is such a great size..perfect for walks, playtime, cuddling.. and just right to take everywhere a sweet, smaller pup is welcome. Lily is a truly great companion...she loves humans and other gentle dogs and cats with all her heart. She was a shelter favorite...with her very positive outlook and sweet, very loving ways - she had the opportunity to warm the lap of the shelter director who just adored this little girl. We picture Lily as the best friend to an active retiree. She'd be so loyal.. and overjoyed to share her love and good will. There's also no question that Lily would be the most popular girl on the block. Once comfortable, she loves to playfully engage and just be her entertaining, adorable self. Even though Lily is usually up for pretty much any activity, she's not a pushy girl. Exercise..perhaps long, leisurely walks to socialize with neighbors..and mental stimulation that comes from time spent with her family will keep Lily happy and fulfilled. Lily derives so much joy from her relationships, we would love to see her in an active family that just loves her dearly...she's a great dog who deserves this in her life. It's also true that Terriers are wonderful. They tend to be so cute, very loving and engaging... and the most devoted of companions. If you combine that with the positive energy and inquisitive nature of all dogs... you end up with a very sweet and loving/loyal family member. Lily has been described by her Kansas rescuer as a great all around girl. She's appears to be house trained (we'll never swear to it however, when a dog is rehomed) and respectful of her home environment. Lily is a very loving and engaging companion to her rescuer mom, her 12 year old daughter and their 2 dogs and 2 cats. Lily appears to be non-shedding girl (although we can never swear to it). She will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a salmon oil is perfect to keep her coat cottony-soft) to keep her gorgeous silver/black coat healthy and matt-free. Lily won't be spayed when she arrives in Denver - while we request it, there just aren't enough vets to cover the needs of the vast number of homeless dogs in this part of Kansas. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Lily's spay and microchip after her arrival in Colorado if our Denver vet is used. Lily will be arriving on transport in Denver on Thursday 11/30/17. If interested in this sweet, engaging and very devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to [email protected] or fax to 303-443-7730. If you're truly interested in adopting Lily, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
