About Scooby

Scooby: 'ADOPTION PENDING' ~4 years old, black & tan, neutered male, natural tail and ears. 10' tall and about 6 pounds. Shots up to date, owner surrender. Scooby is a mix with lots of Chihuahua in him. He is a special needs boy as he was born deaf. He came to us very over weight and was hypoglycemic. We put him on a good diet with regular feedings and that issue appears to be under control. For any adopter, it will be imperative that he is not over fed and that he is placed on a regular feeding schedule to be safe however. Scooby is a real attention hound. He will seek you out and put his head under your hand until you pet him. He is very loving and believes all people are his friends. Being deaf doesn't seem to bother Scooby in the least. On the bright side, it makes him a very quiet dog unless he sees something outside. It won't be hard to find him because he will most likely be where ever you are. He is house trained using a dog door but was on a schedule in his prior home. He will stay in a crate but he does complain about it for a few minutes. Scooby will do best in a home where he has someone around for him most of the time. He thrives on love and attention. He came to us because his owner had twins and didn't have time for two babies and Scooby.
