Princess Hattie was surrendered to NYCACC Manhattan where Rescue Dogs Rock NYC found her and brought her into rescue. She has endured much, dumped at 8 years old, and in obvious pain at the shelter, a scary place with awful sounds and smells. She required surgery, which has been done, and she is healing nicely. She is currently in a foster home, where we are learning more about her, and what might be her ideal home. At this time, we suggest a home where she is the only dog and a home without cats. She adores people, and has plenty of spunk! She enjoys car rides, and walks, as well as just snuggling on the couch. She does well when crated and is not a barker. She is very obedient and does not require a lot of exercise and always greets strangers with a wagging tail. å%A0 She gets a little worried when she sees other dogs out on a walk, but with lots of encouragement and yummy treats, she is learning that other dogs are really not so scary! She is not fond of loud noises such as motorcycles passing by so that will be something to protect him from and help her to find a safe place when certain loud circumstances may arise.
