About Tanner

Tanner is just under a year old Chihuahua mix. He is a good eater and could use some long walks to help him get his waste line back. He is deaf but don't let that trick you, he is living life to the fullest. Tanner was spoiled by his previous owner and wasn't really taught proper manners. We have been working diligently with him, and he is getting a lot better with being a perfect gentleman by not jumping on people or barking for attention. He is mostly house trained and is crate trained. He is learning signs for stop barking, come, stop and getting ready to be picked up. He is doing pretty good learning and understanding these non-verbal commands. Tanner would do best in a home that will be consistent with him and continue his training. He is fine around kids and other dogs. Just remember he is deaf, so we are asking for kids over 8 years old and a fenced back yard. We also do not recommend a condo, apartment or townhome where you share a wall with your neighbor. For a deaf dog, he has a bark that wakes the dead!
