About Cam

Meet Cam! Cam is a 4 year old Yorkie mix. He weighs approx 15 lbs, is up to date on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. Cam is playful and laid-back and really likes his people. He gets along with other dogs and even cats but he doesn't need their company to be happy. Cam was adopted in December but was returned recently as it was found he is not a good fit for young children. Since his return he has become a little introverted and is not as playful as the guy we first got to know. He is sad and a bit wary to let his guard down until he knows he is in a home to stay. He needs somebody who will be patient and low key with him and let him come around in his own time. Although he likes to be near you he is not a snuggler or a lap dog. He also likes his own space sometimes and will just lay quietly by himself with no need for interaction. He needs to be in a home where there are no hyper dogs and definitely no young children. He is just too nervous around them and it doesn't get better with time, so we are firm on this requirement. He gets on fine with older kids and adults. Cam is housebroken, crate trained, walks great on a leash and loves to go for car rides. He enjoys all types of attention. He loves being brushed, enjoys exploring outside and eagerly looks forward to going for walks with his person every morning! Cam would be happiest with a fenced yard where he can hang out and find his own space in safety. He is a very smart and lovable dog who is looking for that special person to hang out with furever.
