About Maxie

I have a 15 year old miniature dachshund and need advice. I live in an apartment and work during the day. Recently my dachshund has started acting out. She has been relieving herself on the carpet, even though I walk her 4 times a day, and has torn up the carpet in front of my door. Today, while I was home for lunch, I got a knock on my door from the on site police officer who told me she has been barking while I'm at work. I love my dog 'Max' but I'm at the end of my rope. I think she needs to be with someone who is at home most of the time and who can look after her better than I am able to. I have been told that it might be time to put her down, but I don't want to go that route yet. She's a red with gray on her muzzle and feet. Couldn't upload a pic for some reason.
