About Miles

Miles is a shy young Akita/Collie mix with a panda face who is very cat friendly. The cat who lurks around #AkitaRanch was even eating out of his bowl with no reaction from Miles. He was rescued by another group then returned to the shelter so he needs to learn to trust again. He is timid but if you are patient, he'll allow you to pet and give him treats. The team has been spending time with Miles and helping him feel confident on leash and meeting new people. He runs around the play yard and loves exploring. With time he will come out of his shell completely. Miles is not good with other dogs and will need a family that understands his shyness and help him grow in confidence. When he came in he did like other dogs but he went thru a period of being fearful of them. We really think he can be fine with another dog but being surrounded by a lot of big tough males might be a bit disconcerting.
