About Maggie

Maggie is a 1 year old female chihuahua who weighs approximately 7 pounds. Maggie has a very hard time in new situations and needs and adopter who will be patient with her. We find she does best when she has another dog to follow. Originally we had her as a 'bonded' pair with Louise, however, watching her over time we have found that she will follow any confident pup so in order to find them forever homes we are adopting them separately since they did not even come in to the shelter in Texas together. A chihuahua savvy adopter is a must, and we recommend that she go to a quiet home with no young children - she is not aggressive at all - but she might be fearful and run. She is not great on a leash so a securely fenced in yard is important for this little lady. We do know that with time, love, and patience this little girl will reward you 1,000,000 times over - we just need the right person willing to take a chance on her! Could it be you?
