About Ivory Tower

IVORY TOWER- 21 year-old 15hh Standardbred mare- trail/pleasure riding- for intermediate rider. Ivory Tower (Ivy) was a successful broodmare who found herself at auction in March 2010. She was adopted to a loving home for 7 years, but returned to HRU in November 2017 when her adopter's health issues prevented her from caring for her. Ivy is a sweetheart who is always looking to please. She has excellent ground manners and is suited for an intermediate rider. Ivy rides English or Western. She has a history of severe choke when on grain, so she eats mostly Timothy grass hay with some alfalfa hay added. Ivy has moments when she can be aloof and harder to catch, but she is well-mannered and has shared a field with a variety of other horses. She currently lives out 24/7 with a shed. Available for $250 to an approved home with contract with a minimum 60 day trial period. Adopter must be located within an eight (8) hour drive of Howell, NJ OR the Lexington, Kentucky area.
