About Ansel

Good things come to those who wait. That is what Ansel knows. This stunning Australian Cattledog boy is waiting for a wonderful home who is ready for a fantastic, devoted companion dog without all of the crazy energy that comes with a younger Cattledog. Ansel is a 10 years old guy who weighs about 50 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is a gentle, special soul who is great with people of all ages, men and women. He is also wonderful with his same size and smaller dog pals. Larger, calm dogs would be wonderful pals for him as well. As for cats? That is when his Cattledog drive kicks in. He chases cats, so a home without cats is a must. Ansel would like a person who appreciates mutual admiration. He prefers someone who will spend time with him and give him lots of belly rubs. He is a social butterfly and really gets excited to see people. He will snuggle, tool. He even likes to be brushed and enjoys a bath. If you are touching him, he is in heaven. He will even smile with happiness. Ansel says that an older guy doesn't need to sit on command every time. After all, he is a total gentleman. A snappy quick sit isn't in his repertoire, though he does sit most of the time when asked. He is also crate trained and house trained. A new home will want to reinforce that. Ansel would love to meet potential adopters who want a big heart kind of dog to be their pal. He is good in a car, but prefers one low enough to make for an easy entry and exit.
