About Maverick

Maverick: I feel the need...for speed... is a quote from everyone's favorite Tom Cruise movie character, Maverick. I am the fur baby version of that character. Not only am I incredibly handsome, I LOVE people, other dogs, cats...but don't be bringing around no chickens. You see I was owner surrendered and that's why, I chased their chickens and they didn't want to take the time to train me that 'Chicken Chasing' was a 'No,No!' Give me a break!!! I'm just 11 months old! They tell me that I am part Jack Russell and Heeler. My silky fur is black and white and I weigh about sixteen pounds. I would love to go on long walks with you, cuddle, and give you lots of wet kisses. Just like Iceman said to Maverick in 'Top Gun', ' You can be my wingman any time'...I am waiting to be some lucky human family's best wingman...come check me out! Update on Maverick: Maverick is kennel trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. He also gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. He does have good inside dog manners.
