About Roscoe P. Cotrain

My name is Roscoe P Cotrain, yes, after the sheriff on Duke's of Hazard! I am a neutered male and am approx 9 years old. I am a gentleman and love attention from my humans. I am a mixed breed of Border Collie and Black Lab. My disposition is that of a very fun-loving Black Lab and intelligent like a great Border Collie. I learn quickly and am leash trained. I adapt well and travel well. I'd like to be the boss but understand the heirarchy of our family. I am great with kids and I love to play with my toys especially keep away, but if you lack stamina I will let you catch me! I am also a very good guard dog and let everyone know when I've found a turtle in our yard or the neighbors are walking their dog. I need a nice yard and love my walks. My down-sides are 'hot spots'. I get them occassionally when I am really stressed, like during Hurricane Irma. We have special medicine for it and I heal well. I am on a no-grain diet because my skin gets itchy, but we found a mix of hard and soft foods from Pedigree that are grainless and I have been fine. The good news is I don't need expensive dog food-I love my Pedigree food and eat well! I hope you will consider being my new companions. Oh, I almost forgot, I do love to play with other dogs and I tolerate our cat. At least I don't chase it in the house. I am soft, will cuddle and have gorgeous brown eyes and adorable floppy ears!
