About Willie

SPECIAL NEEDS DOG; Little Willie was just returned to us after being adopted for a few months. This poor guy was brought back to us because he was too protective of his property and would not let the service men onto the property without putting up a fuss. He is a good boy otherwise and loves his people. Lots of little dogs like him think they are bigger than they are and want to protect their people. Willie also does better with women than men, and may be pretty crabby when he meets a man for the first time. In fact he is not very welcoming the first time you meet him and may even be unaccepting of some women. But he does just fine with the men and women who walk him at the shelter. He is just a special needs dog who needs a very understanding owner who can work with him on his negative behaviors. He has all his vet work done . He needs an adopter who will take him home in foster care for a while and work with him. He will likely be comfortable in a week or less. But he may have to have his own place in the house where he can go when strangers come to the door in order to avoid him nipping or trying to protect his people. He is micro chipped, neutered and fully vaccinated and ready to go home for a foster care trial. Let us know if interested.
