About Liza

Fee reduction during JAN 2018 TO $25. Liza was a bedraggled scared kitten when entering the shelter on Sept 25, 2017. At 7 weeks old, she was all alone and would reach through her enclosure gate to caregivers, begging for comfort. In the 7 weeks since her intake she has blossomed in confidence and can be seen on speed dial playing in the Kitten Room. With her dainty toe socks, pretty green eyes and shiny tuxedo fur she is a vision of kitten cuteness. Liza looks with anticipation to every visitor who holds her that maybe this one will never let her go. Her adoption fee is $85. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home committed to their care and safety. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.
